The past day or so had been hectic to say the least, just a few short hours after the defeat of the demon queen, a small fleet of boats and helicopters converged on the Island. Men and women dressed in tactical gear, black suits and even biohazard gear invaded and took control of the Island before anyone could make heads or tails of what was going on.
All guests were quickly escorted to the beach as tents were set up along the shoreline to create a base of operations as the government searched the island for any remaining threats or objects of interest. Each and every person on the island was questioned and when it finally came time for the group to answer they gave an explanation they had concocted together. So to the government’s knowledge, the five girls knew about as much as the rest of the people on the island. They were captured, extracted, stuck in the soul well and the next thing they knew they were hurling towards their own bodies.
It was well into the night by the time they were all allowed to return to the villa and wait for the ferry the next morning. Lena had imagined the time after their victory to be a lot more… celebrational but after the day they had, all they could do was collapse on their beds and pass out.
It was now in the early hours of the morning, not long before dawn. The girls had made their way to the cave entrance closest to the villa, with the agents having finished their sweeps, the coast was clear. The walk was much easier than the one made the day before, finally able to wear the warmest clothing they packed. They very much appreciated the luxury of warmth throughout their walk.
After entering the cave the group turned to Bianca as a green light started to emanate from her chest, Andras had to unzip the jacket slightly to expose the glowing green skin. The four stared intently as the green energy formed into Andras’ demonic head, body quickly following as he rapidly expanded and leapt from the girl’s body. Landing gracefully as Bianca steadied herself. Despite how many times they had seen a demon enter or exit their friends in the past few days, it was still a sight to behold.
Bianca checked herself up and down, glad to be in control of her body once again, “Whew good to be back! No offense Andras.” She said with a smile, the demon just shrugged in response with a sheepish smile.
The demon’s attention was drawn towards the horizon as the sun crept into view and he stepped a little further into the cave, just to be sure. A silence hung over the group as none of them were willing to speak up and voice their thoughts. Eye contact was avoided with the demon as groups mixed feelings about him swirled inside them.
Feelings of anger and resentment welled up when they thought about how he had lied to them, stolen Lena’s body and dragged them all here but if not for his change of heart, they likely would all be trapped within the demon queen and now they were going to say goodbye, leaving him on the island alone, forever.
Their thoughts were interrupted as someone finally decided to break the silence, “So I guess this is it then.” Sarah said looking at Andras who responded with a weak smile.
“…but does it have to be?” Bianca interjected, surprising the five of them. Andras himself being the most confused.
“What do you mean? It’s not like we can take him with us!” Kiera exclaimed
“Well…he could enter one of us during the day and just… hang out at night?” The raven haired girl offered. Andras just raised his eyebrow at the implication.
“What? You’re going to give up twelve hours of your day so Andras doesn’t have to be alone? Counting sleep, that’s more than half your life Bianca!” Amber chided the girl for her ridiculous suggestion.
“He has to stay here, if he comes with us it puts him at risk of being discovered.” Sarah tried to convince the girl.
“He’s already at risk of being discovered! We are leaving in a few hours with the other guests, with no one to house him around he won’t be able to escape detection forever! Those suits won’t leave after just a day, who knows how long they’ll spend ransacking the island.”
Sarah tried to retort but was interrupted by her best friend finally speaking up, “We can take turns.” Lena offered, “With the two of us taking turns we can keep him safe without losing out on too much of our lives.”
If the group had been surprised by Bianca before they were even more so at Lena’s, “You can’t be serious!? Of all people I thought YOU would be against this the most. He stole your body, lied to us for weeks and got us into this mess in the first place!” Sarah exclaimed.
“He was following orders! I might not like what he did initially but let’s face it, if it wasn’t for Andras we would have lost not only our bodies but the whole world to the demons!” The neon haired girl replied.
“He went against his own race to save the five of us and now what? He’s meant to remain here alone if he gets lucky and if not, get discovered and destroyed? How is that fair?” Bianca added.
Andras watched intently as the pair went to bat for him, completely stunned that they were even considering this let alone trying to convince the others.
Sarah could only bite her tongue in response, she couldn’t really argue with what they were saying but the notion of the pair sharing a demon between them was ridiculous.
“If you two aren’t going to budge… I can’t let you two do that alone… I’ll help too, now it’s only a third of our days.” Amber said hesitantly.
“Make it a fourth but I still think you guys are crazy.” Kiera chimed in, shaking her head with a smile.
Everyone turned to Sarah to see what she would say next, she definitely looked like she wanted to continue to object but under the pressure of everybody else, she deflated as she let out a deep sigh.
“Fine… he can stay inside me too, I won’t be the only one not pulling my weight.” She said before looking to Andras, “But I’m laying down some ground rules Mister and I will not tolerate any deviance.” She said firmly to the demon. It was an odd sight to see a monster who was several feet larger than her, retreat and shrink back as she lectured him but the group got a good laugh out of it.
After their giggling had subsided, Lena moved to stand in front of the large purple demon. Hand on her hip she said, “So how about it? Come with us?” She said with a confident smile.
Andras didn’t respond right away, instead looking between the rest of them, unsure of what to do. “Oh come on, don’t tell me you’re happy to steal my body but when I’m right here, offering it to you, you’re scared?” She said, teasing the poor demon.
“Here, I’ll make it easy for you.” She said before reaching out and grabbing his hand, pulling it towards her. The demon offered little resistance as the tips of his fingers were guided to the girl’s face, just centimeters from her now open mouth. Locking eyes with him, she gave him a light nod of encouragement.
That seemed to be the last convincing the demon needed as he smiled and pushed his hand forward. As his fingers crossed the threshold into her mouth, they started to dissipate into the usual mist. Lena’s eyes briefly rolled back at the intrusion as she eagerly gulped him down. By the time his head started to flow inside of her, she could start to feel his presence inside her and her body’s instincts to kick him out which she quickly clamped down on as she ceded control of her body to him willingly.
She felt as his essence flowed throughout her body, her sensation of feeling becoming slightly dulled as he settled in and took command. Finally, the last of his body disappeared inside the girl as her friends watched her jaw slam shut behind him and her head rock forward.
She remained still for only a second, their friend’s head then rose and opened her eyes, eyes glowing bright green signaling Andras’ presence. See, was that so hard? Lena teased from within him.
He didn’t reply, resolving to examine his hands. Glad to be… home? He supposed. Looking up he could see various looks coming from the girls, they had just observed what was going to be a part of their regular routine which received mixed reactions to say the least. His attention was grabbed by the sun as one of it’s rays illuminated his face, the warmth it provided was quite pleasant.
“You know… you might need a new name if we are going to refer to you in front of other people. Anybody got any suggestions?” Bianca asked the group.
“What about Adam?” Kiera suggested.
“No what about-”
For several minutes the girls listed off numerous names beginning with A. Aiden, Adrian, Anthony, Alex, Aaron, Austin, Ashton and many more. It wasn’t until Lena spoke up from within him to offer her suggestion did Andras smile and say, “Yeah I like that one.” The four looked at him quizzically.
“Call me Andrew.”
